The Company

All-Ireland Sustainability was established in 2020 with the launch of the All-Ireland Sustainability Professionals Network, founded by sustainability expert Danielle McCormick, owner of Triterra. Created as a collaborative platform, the network enables sustainability professionals across the Island of Ireland to connect, share best practices, and drive meaningful environmental and social change.

Danielle McCormick – Sustainability Consultant & Strategist
Danielle McCormick is a sustainability professional with over 24 years’ experience in delivering local, national, and European sustainability initiatives, with expertise in behavioural change, business mentoring, and green marketing. She has worked extensively with businesses, government agencies, and NGOs to integrate sustainability into strategy, operations, and communications.
Danielle is the Founder of Triterra, a sustainability consultancy providing strategic guidance and hands-on support to businesses, and is also Founder of the All-Ireland Sustainability Professionals Summit, Awards and Network. All-Ireland Sustainability initiative works with partners and organisations to foster best practice sharing, collaboration, and thought leadership to advance sustainability across the island, and the LinkedIn network now has over 850 members across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
She has played a key role in numerous major sustainability programmes, including the Fáilte Ireland Climate Action Programme, Tourism NI Kickstart Programme, and WRAP’s Guardians of Grub.
With a solid academic and professional foundation, Danielle holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science, a PgCert in International Business, a PgCert in Renewable Energy & Energy Management, a CIM Level 4 Certificate in Integrated Communications, and specialised CIM training in behavioural change.

Job Description
Job Title:
Marketing & Communications Lead

Job Purpose:
The Marketing & Communications Lead will be responsible for developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive membership engagement, and increase participation in All-Ireland Sustainability’s events and initiatives.
With a strong emphasis on digital marketing and content creation, this role will ensure that all messaging is compelling, impactful, and aligned with the organisation’s mission. While event support remains an aspect of the role, the primary focus will be on promoting and communicating events effectively, maximising engagement across digital platforms, and ensuring the organisation’s sustainability message reaches a broad audience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and results-driven marketing professional to take the lead on digital marketing, communications, and promotional strategies while supporting the successful delivery of key sustainability events.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing & Communications
- Develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns to promote the organisation’s mission, events, and membership offerings.
- Create engaging content for email newsletters, social media, websites (WordPress or similar CMS), and other digital platforms.
- Manage email marketing campaigns (using platforms such as Mailchimp), including audience segmentation, content development, and analytics tracking.
- Enhance SEO and digital advertising strategies to improve online visibility and engagement.
- Monitor and report on marketing campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Membership & Audience Engagement
- Develop creative strategies to grow and engage the membership base, ensuring strong retention and value delivery.
- Develop and deliver value-add services such as webinars, resource sharing, member collaboration events, thought leadership and industry updates.
- Strengthen relationships with members, stakeholders, and partners through targeted communications and engagement initiatives.
- Expand and manage the ezine subscriber database, aligning with membership growth strategies.
Event Promotion & Communications
- Lead the development and execution of event marketing campaigns to drive attendance and awareness.
- Create promotional materials, social media content, and digital assets to highlight key speakers, themes, and event benefits.
- Support event planning and coordination, ensuring high-quality execution while focusing on increasing event participation and brand positioning.
- Liaise with stakeholders, venues, and service providers to support event success.
Brand Positioning & Thought Leadership
- Establish All-Ireland Sustainability as a leading voice in sustainability through high-quality content, thought leadership, and strategic brand messaging.
- Identify opportunities for media coverage, partnerships, and external collaborations to amplify impact.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone, and design across all communications.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Track and analyse key marketing and engagement metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Provide regular reports on campaign performance, membership growth, and event engagement, with actionable recommendations.
Terms & Conditions
Location:
Remote first - Must be located in Northern Ireland
Ability to travel across NI and occasionally ROI as well as access to own vehicle is essential
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 37 hours p/w
Salary:
Salary and benefits package will be set to attract a high-performing candidate
Bonus:
A bonus will be attainable upon achieving agreed KPIs.
Holidays:
28 days per annum inc. statutory holidays
Pension:
3% employer & 5% employee
Probationary period:
6 months

1 month notice by either side

The Candidate
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in a communications or marketing role and ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that enhance brand awareness and audience engagement.
- Proficiency in managing digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and content management systems (such as Mailchimp, WordPress, analytics platforms or similar).
- Strong content creation and storytelling skills, with experience developing engaging written and visual materials.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to build and manage relationships with partners, members, and key audiences.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of sustainable development initiatives.
- Experience using CRM systems or tools to manage membership databases.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills to track, measure, and report on campaign performance, with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
